Chapter 3

Chapter 3 is a great one...What drives your life?
"It is impossible to do everything people want you to do. You have just enough time to do God's will. If you can't get it all done, it means you're trying to do more than God intended for you to do (or, possibly, that you're watching too much television). Purpose-driven living leads to a simpler lifestyle and a saner schedule. The Bible says, "A pretentious, showy life is an empty life; a plain and simple life is a full life." (Words from Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life)

Easter weekend

What a beautiful Easter weekend! We enjoyed church and prayer time thinking about the sacrifice and the point of Easter and what hope it brings to us.

Colossians 1:16: For by him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether they are kings, lords, rulers, or powers. All things have been created through him and for him.

We started the Purpose Driven Life which I've read before, half-trying, without much focus. I am reading it with intention and making the commitment to read one chapter a day. I've completed Chapter 2...so far so good!

Golfing

Friday was our golf tournament which was a great success: lots of fun, a little bit of rain, great prizes & big increase from last year's revenue. Jonathan was there with me (which was fabulous) because it was his Friday off. He played too! The country music fest was fun...we didn't make it there Friday night because it was late and we were tired. Lonestar, Jake Owen and Miranda were rockin' on Saturday...we enjoyed it so much that we all ended up at Ihop at 12:30am. J and I were with my friend Shannon and one of her friends. I have a video from Miranda which isn't great quality but you can hear us singing along :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqoPjhtCMDE

More pictures to come

So we survived our second move here in Florida! We've settled in, for the most part, and only a few more tasks to be done. We are thrilled with the location, people and condo, which has inspired us to get out and enjoy our surroundings; i.e., the beach, bike/running paths that run for miles north on A1A, tennis court and the best...walking across the street to Publix. It's the simple things in life, ya know? Or maybe we're just getting old...

I have only a few pictures to share but more pictures to come this weekend. So now, family and friends, you must come visit. We demand it! We are thrilled that Dad & Kathy will be coming to visit next month!

This is the only area that was organized on day 1: Kitchen/den. Please excuse the washer dryer...we HAD to have the bigger set but it doesn't quite fit in the space...willing to compromise looks for an efficient washer/dryer. We will be hanging curtains to cover it.

Our beautiful pier for the condos that is private & requires a key for entry.

Our first day on the beach, soaking up the sun. Beautiful day!

I wanted to share this picture of my quick run to BJ's Wholesale (comparable to Sam's Club) with you. I was laughing to myself as I unloaded the car because I know (God willing) I will be frequenting these trips for all of our children...with many more [heavy] items.
